Our Mission

We are heading into a world where AI can generate photorealistic images and videos in seconds. Telling what is real from what is not has become nearly impossible at a glance. RealConfirmation exists to give everyone a free, accessible tool to verify the authenticity of digital content.

Why Free?

We believe content verification is a public good. Everyone deserves to know if an image or video is authentic, regardless of their technical knowledge or budget. That's why RealConfirmation is free for individual use, supported by advertising to keep the service running and accessible to all.

How We Work

RealConfirmation reads Content Credentials (C2PA metadata) embedded in digital files. We do not determine if content is "real" or "fake" β€” we surface the cryptographic provenance data that exists in the file. If a file has valid Content Credentials, you can trust its stated origin. If it doesn't, it simply means no provenance data is available.

Everything happens in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We only store the verification result so you can share it via a link β€” never the original file.

Built on Open Standards

RealConfirmation is built entirely on the C2PA open standard, backed by Adobe, Google, Microsoft, Sony, Meta, OpenAI, and many more. We do not use proprietary detection algorithms or "AI detectors." We believe transparent, standards-based verification is the only reliable path to content authenticity.
